MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER
The November 9, 2023, Regular Meeting of the City of Chino Infrastructure/ Streets Committee was called to order 2. 05 p. m. by Mayor Pro Tem Comstock in the Council Chambers.
ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Mayor Pro Tem Karen C. Comstock and Council Member Marc Lucio ABSENT: NONE.
PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS
There were no requests to speak.
DISCUSSION
1. Chino Rancho Park. Receive updates and discuss funding for Chino Rancho Park.
Report by: Silvia Avalos, Director of Community Services, Parks & Recreation The Committee received an update on the item that included parking solutions to be considered, confirmation the street will be improved, project timeline, and funding options.
The Committee recommended that staff move forward with the proposal to use Park Fund and General Fund as a recommendation to City Council for consideration, while continuing efforts to secure additional funding from local legislators.
2. The Preserve " Block 9" Park. Receive updates and discuss the design and potential splash pad at the " Block 9" Park in The Preserve.
Report by: Silvia Avalos, Director of Community Services, Parks & Recreation The Committee received an update on the item that included the park design, potential splash pad, funding options, project timeline, and consensus the project would be a nice addition to the park for residents to enjoy.
The Committee recommended that staff move forward with the proposal to use the Preserve Park Fund as a recommendation to City Council for consideration of the splash pad.
