RESOLUTION NO. 2024-029
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHINO,
CALIFORNIA, ADDRESSING ADJUSTMENTS TO THE CITY’S
CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY SCHEDULE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF
CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION STUDY FINDINGS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chino has the authority to create and maintain position classifications; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chino has historically adopted resolutions to establish salaries, benefits, and terms and conditions of employment for City employees and subsequent resolutions to establish changes to salaries, benefits, and terms and conditions of employment for City employees; and
WHEREAS, the City C ouncil of the City of Chino authorized the completion of a Classification and Compensation Study to ensure that job classifications and pay structures are aligned with the local government market and are fair, competitive, and compliant; and
WHEREAS, job titles and salaries shal l be adjusted as a result of the C lassification and Compensation Study performed; and
WHEREAS, the adjustments included in the attached updated Classification and Salary Schedule will assist the City in attracting , retaining, and motivating talent; make adjustments to align with labor market standards and internal equity; and continue to demonstrate that City of Chino employees are valued by the organization.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Chino does hereby adopt the attached Classification and Salary Schedule with the adjustments effective on the pay period that includes July 1, 2024.
SECTION 1. CLASSIFICATION TITLE CHANGES AND NEW CLASSIFICATIONS.
The following job classifications are proposed for title changes or are new classifications. New or adjusted salary ranges are noted in Section 2.

SECTION 2. ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW SALARY RANGES AND SCHEDULES.
The following salary ranges and salary schedules are effective with the pay period that includes July 1, 2024:

SECTION 3: This resolution supersedes prior approval of resolutions establishing salary ranges and pay schedules for the positions listed in the attachments above.
