RESOLUTION NO. 2024-048
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHINO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2022-058, APPENDIX "A" OF CHAPTER 2.60 OF THE CHINO MUNICIPAL CODE (CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE) WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 2.60.030 of the Chino Municipal Code, persons holding positions in Appendix "A" are designated employees. It has been determined that these persons make or participate in the making of decisions that may foreseeably have a material effect on financial interests. Pursuant to Section 2.60.050, all designated employees must file Statements of Economic Interests with the City of Chino.
WHEREAS, this Resolution shall amend and supersede the employees designated pursuant to Resolution No. 2022-058.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHINO HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Appendix "A" of Chapter 2.60 of the Chino Municipal Code (Conflict of Interest Code) shall be amended to read as follows:

Description of Categories:
Category 1: Investments and business positions in, and sources of income from, business entities that do business or own real property within jurisdiction of the City of Chino, plan to do business or own real property within the jurisdiction of the City of Chino within the next year, or have done business or owned real property within the jurisdiction of the City of Chino within the past two years.
Category 2: Interests in real property within two miles of the City of Chino or any land owned within the jurisdiction of the City of Chino.
Category 3: Investments and business positions in, and sources of income from, business entities subject to the regulatory, permit or licensing authority of the designated employee's department.
Category 4: Investments and business positions in, and sources of income from, business entities which engage in land development, construction or the acquisition or sale of real property within the jurisdiction of the City of Chino, within the next year, or have engaged in such activities within the jurisdiction of the City of Chino within the past two years.
Category 5: Investments and business positions in, and sources of income from, business entities that provide services, supplies, materials, machinery, vehicles or equipment of a type purchased or leased by the City of Chino.
Consultants
Consultants shall be included in the list of designated employees and shall disclose pursuant to the broadest disclosure category in the code subject to the following limitations:
With respect to consultants, the City Manager shall determine, in writing, if a particular consultant performs a range of duties requiring disclosure hereunder. This determination shall include a description of the consultant's duties and a statement of the extent of disclosure requirements. A copy of this determination shall be filed with the City Clerk.
NOTE: The City Council, City Manager, City Attorney, City Treasurer and Planning Commissioners are required to submit disclosure statements pursuant to State law (California Government Code Section 87200, et. seq.), not this Code.
