RESOLUTION NO. 2025-016
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHINO, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE RESOLUTION NO. 2024-034 OF THE CITY’S CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY SCHEDULE TO APPROVE THE JOB CLASSIFICATION FOR HELICOPTER PILOT WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chino has the authority to create and maintain position classifications; and WHEREAS, in November of 2024 the City Council authorized the creation of an Air Support Unit; and WHEREAS, in order to operate a police helicopter, staff has identified the need to provide specially trained personnel to safely operate the police helicopter; and WHEREAS, it is cost effective to utilize part-time staff positions to provide a cadre of trained helicopter pilots to operate the helicopter; and WHEREAS, the Helicopter Pilot is a new classification that will safely operate the City’s police helicopter; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No. 2024-034 of the City’s Classification and Salary Schedule is revised as follows:
