WHEREAS, America Recycles Day is a nationally recognized "Keep America Beautiful" program started in 1997 to promote and celebrate recycling in the United States; and WHEREAS, the City of Chino recognizes the importance of reducing waste, conserving energy, and protecting and preserving our natural resources to make our community a cleaner, safer and healthier environment; and
WHEREAS, Chino businesses, schools, religious institutions, non-profits and residents can foster a culture of recycling and sustainability and demonstrate their commitment to a cleaner, safer environment by educating themselves and others on the positive impacts of recycling; and WHEREAS, the City of Chino encourages all residents, businesses, and organizations to practice more environmentally sustainable habits by reducing, reusing, and recycling and purchasing recycled goods when possible.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, EUNICE M. ULLOA, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF CHINO, do hereby proclaim November 15, 2025, as
AMERICA RECYCLES DAY
in the City of Chino, and encourage all residents, businesses, and organizations to learn more about proper recycling practices and to take actions that support a more sustainable and resilient community.
