WHEREAS, the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO) designates Government Finance Professionals Week each year to recognize the critical role that government finance professionals play in supporting transparent, accountable, and fiscally responsible local government and
WHEREAS, government finance professionals serve as stewards of public resources and are responsible for critical functions including budgeting, financial reporting, treasury management, procurement, and long term financial planning; and
WHEREAS, these professionals ensure that public funds are managed with integrity, transparency, accuracy, and accountability, providing elected officials and the community with reliable financial information to support sound policy and operational decisions; and WHEREAS, strong financial management supports the delivery of essential public services and strengthens the long term fiscal stability of the City of Chino; and WHEREAS, Government Finance Professionals Week provides an opportunity to recognize the dedication, expertise, and professionalism of the individuals who safeguard the financial operations of local government and help maintain the public's trust; and NOW, THEREFORE, I, EUNICE M. ULLOA, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF CHINO, do hereby proclaim the week of March 23 through March 27, 2026, as
GOVERNMENT FINANCE PROFESSIONALS WEEK
in the City of Chino, and commend the City's finance professionals for their commitment to responsible financial stewardship and service to the community.
