Council Member Smith attended the Rotary Crab Feed and Ed Ray Park for the ribbon cutting ceremony for the refurbished recreation building and Ed Ray Day.

Council Member Palmer also attended the Ed Ray Day event; many people commented that they would like to see the display boards hung on the walls of the refurbished building or somewhere so they can be viewed by more people. At the MCT meeting she attended, they discussed the District 2 Committee Member vacancy; Measure T Committee voted to have the measure be "continuous" until voters vote it out via ballot measure; discussed the bipartisan infrastructure law and its nuances. She attended the Chowchilla Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame dinner where past athletes were recognized. And she attended the Chowchilla Task Force meeting today.

2.2 STAFF VERBAL REPORTS
City Administrator Pruett met with Caltrans and City/County of Madera for their standard quarterly executive meeting. Separately, he then met with Caltrans about the roundabout where there is a plan to work together to move forward. Met with NBS regarding the development impact fee study, covering most areas, needing to finalize a few items and should be completed by the end of this fiscal year. Attended an Autozone meeting with staff and ad hoc, a Site Plan Review meeting; met with the State Housing and Community Development and staff regarding Humboldt Storm Drain project; Full Circle Renewables is coming back to get their project moving forward; Sullivan & Sagouspe is also back with a fully funded project. He is currently at the ICSC in Monterey Conference.

Recreation & Community Engagement Manager Wisener thanked all who were present at the Ed Ray Day event; received great responses on the refurbished recreation building, thanked staff for all their efforts.

Public Works Director Rogers attended the Ed Ray Day Ceremony with his family. It was a good event and jis kids liked the displays as they allowed them to learn. He thanked Stacy Wisener for putting on a great event, our city volunteers for their work on the center and our Public Works staff for completing the final touches on the building.

He and the City Administrator have been working with HCD staff to secure the Authorization to Use Grant Funds (AUGF) related to CDBG funding for the Humboldt Storm Drainage Project. As City Council Meeting Minutes March 8, 2022
a result of our meetings and discussions, we received the AUGF today. We will be able to advertise for bids so that we can begin construction this summer.

Regarding our Clean California Local Grant Application, last week Caltrans announced grant awards. Unfortunately, the City did not receive a grant award. However, Caltrans District 6 has allocated $1,000,000 for our Median Beautification and Robertson Pedestrian Improvements Project. Caltrans is currently drafting an agreement for use of these funds.

The contractor is making good progress on the PD Fence Project and expects to be completed within 3-4 weeks depending on weather.
