Public Works Director Rogers and the City Administrator attended a meeting for the Chowchilla Interchange Project with Caltrans. We believe the Rancho Calera ROW has been sufficiently addressed and Caltrans is setting up a meeting with Rancho Calera. Late last week we received the State Historical Preservation Office's notes and corrections for the Historical Society's application for the former library that was submitted to them last month. The historical Society will review the State's returned application in order to revise theirs before resubmitting to the City. The contractor for the Robertson Blvd Clean CA Project started this week. The project includes the installation of beautification elements for the Robertson Blvd. median at the railroad track, traffic-calming corner bulb-outs at 5th St, 7th St, 11th St and 13th St, high-visibility crosswalk facilities, installation of ADA compliant curb ramps, valley gutter at 5th St, and rapid flashing beacons for pedestrians. This project will help the City in creating a safer pedestrian network by calming traffic and provide pedestrians with better access and is funded through Caltrans Clean CA Local Grant Program
