I write in support of Items 5.3 and 7.1, known generally asOrganicsRecycling.
We are a family which hasmadeinvestments at our ChulaVista home in items that we believe have a positive effect on the environment. We added solar panels to reduce our electricity consumption and we replaced our front yard grassareawith a xeriscapelandscapingto reduce water consumption. They cameat a cost but we were willing to bear the cost becausewe think it is an investment that improves our environment. We seeorganics recycling in the samemanner.
Notwithstanding the fact that the state of California requires this change, it is one that will improve the manner is which waste is handled. Suchan improvement allows ChulaVista to continue to serveasa leader in the state
