RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDS FROM UC
DAVIS SCHOOL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE FOR
SHELTER SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING GRANT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility applied for and was awarded grants through UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in the amount of $53,000; and
WHEREAS, City staff intends to use the grant funds to offer outreach clinics, provide medical staff support, vouchers to qualified individuals, marketing costs, and return to home assistance in the City of Chula Vista and at the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility for residents of Chula Vista, Lemon Grove, and National City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that it:
1. Accepts grant funds from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in the amount of $53,000.
2. Approves an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2022/23 Other Grants Fund Budget and appropriates the $53,000 in grant funds to the Supplies & Services and Other expense categories.
