I'm saddened that this appears to be so many critical personal matters being considered as one huge item at the tail end of the current Council's term. Shouldn't some of these matters particularly reorganizations be considered by the largely new Council come December. They're going to be the ones living with these decisions.
Maria Cienfuegos
The proposed actions of item 5.5 seemed rushed and appears that there were purposely comingled to avoid public comment on election night. Such actions should have waited for the new City Council to be seated especially since it affects different City Departments as well as the associated costs. The new City Council members may have new and fresh ideas and you are leaving them in dark by rushing this item and bringing it forward this evening. Also, there is no mentioned on any input from community groups or boards and commissions that may have a say on this item.
Human Resources Director Chase announced that approval of the item would affect executive compensation.
The following members of the public submitted written communication in opposition to the item:
Ann Perez
