Honorable Mayor Mary Casillas Salas
Members of the City Council
276 Fourth Avenue
Chula Vista, CA 91910
Dear Mayor Casillas Salas and Honorable Colleagues:

The opportunity to serve the City of Chula Vista for many years and in many capacities has been one of the greatest honors of my lifetime. I am especially grateful to have served with each of you in the recent years as I represented the people of District 3.

Together we have achieved many important milestones, which I know we all hope will benefit our community in the years and generations to come.

Pursuant to my recent election to the California State Senate I must now tender my resignation from the City Council effective at midnight on December 5, 2022.

I look forward to working together with the incoming council and staff in my new capacity to advance our community's needs. I wish you all every success.
