• RFP closed on March 25th ; City received six proposals • A review committee evaluated, scored, and ranked the responses based on experience, personnel, operations/qualifications and cost
• Nova Commercial was ranked as the top vendor
• July 12, 2022 Council awarded the contract for janitorial services to Nova Commercial • Key provisions of the contract included:
• Services - provide janitorial services at designated City Facilities (including cleaning and disinfecting entry areas, offices, lunchrooms, restrooms, and break rooms
• Facilities – Police, Libraries, Heritage Recreation Center, and Veterans Recreation Center • Term – initial term covered July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023 with four additional one year periods with price increased based on CPI, not to exceed 5%
• Total not to exceed value of the contract was $2.25 million including all extensions 2J a n i t o r i a l S e r v i c e s - C o n t r a c t A m e n d m e n t Before
• Extend the initial term of the contract to end June 30, 2024 with three optional one-year extensions (total years remain at 5 years)
• Add Janitorial services to various City Facilities:
• Loma Recreation and Aquatic Center (Recreation side only, Aquatic Center to be added) • Norman Park Senior Center
• Saturday services at various Recreation Centers
• Increase the total contract to a maximum of $3.5 million for the five year term (including extensions)
