RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM MICHELSON
PHILANTHROPIES THROUGH THE CALIFORNIA ANIMAL
WELFARE FUNDERS COLLABORATIVE AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
WHEREAS, the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility applied for and was awarded a grant through the California Animal Welfare Funders Collaborative; and
WHEREAS, the Animal Care Facility will use these funds to provide services to cats and dogs to prevent surrender due to the inability to provide care and reduce the number of incoming puppies, kittens, and pregnant females at the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista, that it accepts the g rant from Michelson Philanthropies through the California Animal Welfare Funders Collaborative and approves an appropriation of $10,000 to the Other Expense Category in the Other Grants Fund in the Fiscal Year 2023/24 Budget to be offset by grant revenue.
