Dear Ms. Clerk:
The public comments seemsto not be working. It has
become a forum for people to read from their phones
conspiracytheory web sites, anti-vax misinformation, etc.
The students earlier in the year who advocated for
banning single-use plastics, bolstered by evidence.
They had the right idea. Would it be possibleto modify the rules for public comment?
I don't think its fair to citizens, city staff, and elected officials to be exposedto lies and misinformation
repeated over and over again, not to mention personal
attacks and loss of time and effective council meetings. ann viera
