I am a resident of the Brentwood Mobile Home Park. I have seen over the years how the homeless situation has escalated. It wasn't too long ago that I had to park on Industrial Blvd across the street from the park and thank God the encampments weren't as bad as they are now. If they were, I have no clue where I would have parked after work if there were no more parking spaces in the park. That street was my only hope. Being a young woman, I could not park far in this area.
Now, I don't see any residents parking their cars on the further side of Industrial and I know it's because the homeless have taken it over.
Another comment I want to make is how this area is already a part of Chula Vista that attracts more crime and this situation is only making it worse. To piggy back on that, I have never had a package stolen from my property and that unfortunately has happened recently. That can't be a coincidence.
Will someone please step up and fix this. How is it ok to live and throw your trash on the street? Maybe a separate community needs to be made to keep people that do not want to contribute to society. Or maybe those planters and street lights on Industrial. The further part of the street is very dark. Just a thought.. I have no clue what that would entail other than a lot of money.
Well anyway, thank you for taking the time to read.
Respectfully,
Alyssa Martinez
