RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA RATIFYING THE CITY MANAGER’S
APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR OF LIBRARY SERVICES – JOY
WHATLEY
WHEREAS, the City of Chula Vista’s Charter Section 500 (a) grants the City Manager the authority to appoint department heads subject to ratification by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has selected Joy Whatley to fill the position of Director of Library Services effective February 23, 2024.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista, that it ratifies the City Manager’s appointment of Joy Whatley to Director of Library Services effective February 23, 2024.
