RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA APPROVING A THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND LOCAL 2180,
INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS
COVERING THE PERIOD OF JULY 1, 2022, TO DECEMBER
31, 2024
WHEREAS, on July 12, 2022 , the City Council approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Chula Vista and Local 2180, International Association of Fire Fighters (“Local 2180”) related to wages and other terms and conditions of employment; and
WHEREAS, after meeting and conferring in good faith pursuant to the Meyers Milias - Brown Act ("MMBA"), the City and Local 2180 desire to enter into a Third Amendment to the 2022-2024 MOU amending Appendix B - Measure A, as it relates to staffing of 24-hour SQUADs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista, that it hereby does approve the Third Amendment to the 20 22-2024 Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Chula Vista and Local 2180, International Association of Fire Fighters (“Local 2180 ”) bargaining group in the form substantially presented and that the City Manager may make such minor modifications as may be approved o r required by the City Attorney’s Office.
