At a time when the main news story always seems to be centered around the homeless, lack of affordable housing etc etc, it is ludicrous to expect a Landlord to pull a rental unit off the marketfor a gov specified time frame.
And who pays the Landlord for this loss of income? What other business is penalized in such a manner?
Of course, the only recourse is to raise the rental rate.
But then there’s the impending rent control.
Clearly California is trying to force Landlords to sell their investments.
Then the gov can own all the housing.
Including the medical care.
Sounds like socialism to me!
