RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA AMENDING THE AUTHORIZED POSITION
COUNT IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Measure A currently funds the fourth Firefighter-A at various stations throughout the City to implement 4-0 staffing to enhance public safety and operational efficiencies; and
WHEREAS, currently there are nine Firefighter -A positions that are not funded by the Measure A Sales Tax Fund located at Station 1, 3 and 7; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends transferring nine (9.0) Firefighter -A positions from the General Fund to the Measure A Sales Tax Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista, that it approves the following changes to the fiscal year 2024-25 authorized departmental position counts:
