RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA ACCEPTING DONATION FUNDS FROM
HURLEY REVOCABLE FAMILY TRUST AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
WHEREAS, on May 20, 2025, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista (“City”) adopted Resolution No. 2025-071 accepting a donation in the amount of $106,607.88 from the Hurley Revocable Family Trust, bequeathed to Chula Vista Animal Services upon the passing of Stanley K. Hurley and Pauline C. Hurley; and
WHEREAS, it was subsequently clarified that the donor’s intended contribution was $121,607.88; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to accept the full donation of $121,607.88 from the Hurley Revocable Family Trust in support of the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista, that it accepts the revised donation amount of $121,607.88 from the Hurley Revocable Family Trust and amends the Fiscal Year 2025 -2026 budget to appropriate $121,607.88 to the “Other Expenses” category of the Animal Care Facility Donations Fund.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager or Deputy Director of Animal Services is authorized to enter into and execute any and all agreements or documents necessary and appropriate to accept this donation and implement this resolution.
