I hold a Business degree with a concentration in Real Estate Finance, where my studies focused on the financial structures, regulatory frameworks, and economic forces that shape housing development, acquisitions, and long-term viability. Through coursework centered on lender, purchaser, and sustainability perspectives, I gained a strong understanding of how financing decisions directly influence project feasibility and community outcomes.
To broaden this foundation, I pursued additional classes in urban design and architectural history, emphasizing land-use policy and planning processes. These courses deepened my understanding of how cities grow and allowed me to apply planning principles in practice. Working in a team, I developed redesign models for my area's University Square that prioritized sustainability and pedestrian-oriented development, highlighting the area's current need.
Since graduating, I've applied this combined planning and finance background in both corporate and independent roles, focusing on project management, financial analysis, and long-term ownership strategies. I have also been directly involved in all levels of property rehabilitation, giving me a grounded understanding of how planning decisions, regulatory constraints, and economic pressures play out at the grassroots level.
This combined perspective of urban planning, financial practicality, and on-the-ground experience positions me to contribute meaningfully as an expert on the Chula Vista Housing and Homelessness Advisory Board. I am committed to supporting data-driven, fiscally responsible, and community-focused solutions that expand and strengthen housing opportunities for the residents of Chula Vista.

24. What do you hope to accomplish in the role of a Housing and Homelessness Advisory Commissioner? (250 words or less)
I want to help make a meaningful difference for residents in economic need by working toward solutions that balance financial realities with the urgent demand for housing in our city. These challenges don't have simple answers, but I believe that through collaboration with residents, regulators, and local partners, we can develop innovative, equitable, and sustainable housing strategies for the Chula Vista community.
I see this role as more than just a single appointment. I see this position as the start of a deeper, long-term relationship with my community and the city. At 24, I know I still have a lot to learn, but I believe I bring a strong foundation with experience as a property owner, manager, analyst, and project manager, supported by a business degree concentrating in real estate finance. I have also benefited from my grandfather's decades of work in the housing field, learning from him long before I had a formal understanding of the industry.
Together, these experiences give me both practical insight and a great respect for the complexity of the housing and homelessness issues Chula Vista faces. My goal is to use this perspective to listen carefully and contribute meaningfully, growing with and learning from others on the commission. More than anything, I want to help build policies and partnerships that create lasting pathways to housing stability and equity within our community.
