Welcoming America Pledge
As Americans, we are drawing the line: no to abuse of power, and yes to respecting our neighbors and American values.
We may not all share the same views, but we are united in our respect for core principles that we expect our leaders to follow. These include fairness, freedom, the rule of law, and respect for human dignity.
When we see people — citizens and non-citizens — being killed, harmed, and detained, we speak out. We speak out because no government should have unchecked power to harm its people. This abuse needs to end now.
Federal agents are killing people in our neighborhoods. We live here. We know what safety means and what moral leadership looks like. And Washington needs to listen.
We need to invest in places where neighbors help each other, where respect comes from what people contribute, and where safety comes from connection, not fear.
We're speaking up — in our homes, our neighborhoods, and to our representatives in Washington. We're demanding accountability and calling for communities where leaders unite people instead of dividing them.
I pledge to:
Call my Members of Congress and tell them to stop the use of lethal force during immigration enforcement and redirect funding from the dangerous tactics of ICE, CBP, and DHS to programs that actually support communities
Speak out in my community about what's happening
