Rising Volumes
◷
Manual redaction of video, audio, images and documents is labor intensive.
Manual processes result in significant delays in responding to records requests.
Manual redactions increase the risk of inadvertent disclosure and liability.
Digital evidence and public records requests continue to increase.
4 Meeting the Challenge
• CVPD currently uses Veritone to
redact body-worn camera video,
including personally identifiable
information (PII), to protect
community members’ privacy.
• Existing contract covers a limited
number of hours.
• Transitioning to a license-based model
would provide unlimited redaction
hours under a set number of licenses.
• CVPD has partnered with Veritone for
approximately eight years.
