The majesty of the time i've skated at skate world

I have recently heard about skate world being torn down for scrap to build apartment buildings and for the whole area of SkateWorld to be bidded off on an auction. I Recently have started playing roller derby again but SkateWorld has been a part of my life for around 4 years now. I played on the panda team before covid hit then skateworld had to be shut down then I came back for junior roller derby when I was 15 and the Coaches Ms, Abby, Coach Brett, and Coach Fritz have been in my life for a whole season now and they all have just made a big impact on my life. Ms,Abby told me never to give up and helped me refine my skills till I was good enough to stay on my toes. Coach Brett has given me lessons on how to push on offense during games and be a better player. Coach Fritz has been there for almost every single practice I've been at and she picks on all the things I've done bad and has given me a better solution on how to be a better skater. All these Coaches have impacted my life making me a better player and team sport through the whole season I've skated in. I would really like them to stay my coaches till I go off to an adult league. The skate world has been open for 51 years and has been in my life for 4 years but it has been a part of everyone else's life for many more years before I was even alive and after as well. It originally opened in 1975 but the structure has been around since 1943 during world war 2 until it became a roller rink. This building has been a part of history and should never be torn down no matter how old it is, keeping the history of buildings matter because it keeps the whole place magical. I'm proud to be going there for practice on Tuesdays and Written Communications – PC

Wednesdays to be with my friends and become a good skater. SkateWorld and the people surrounding it have made me a better skater and person because of it. Now that my coaches have helped me see my own potential I never wanna quit derby until the time is necessary but for now i'm staying strong and staying headstrong and unlocking new goals along my roller derby career.
