PUBLIC COMMENT
City Clerk Van read the following written public comment submitted by Rick Hodgkins, "I noticed that the sunrise tomorrow project has not been on the agenda recently. Nevertheless, I do want to point out, that if the sunrise mall ever closes down, this would be one reason for me to leave Citrus Heights. If we must make them all, and outside Venue, it should either be like the birdcage walk town center across the street, or, maintain the interior of them all, but just like with the anchor tenets, Macy's, JCPenney's etc., current and future tenants, ought to be remodeled and renovated to where there is a way to enter the store from the inside of the mall or the outside, or better yet, both. My concern about making the mall and all outdoor venue, is that what if it is very rainy, windy and cold? Where will people go to keep warm. This small, is just more than a shopping mall for eating and shopping, it is also a place where once a year, and even twice a year, I socialize with friends, that who are usually not there except for those two times a year. When Santa Claus is there, I visit with him, and that when it's Easter, the Easter bunny is there. And that the vast majority of the time I've seen the Easter bunny there, it was always a woman dressed up as a Easter bunny. if the mall went away, I don't know if l

Citrus Heights City Council Minutes Thursday, January 25, 2024 would ever see those lovely young people again. There are two girls named Diane, one played the Easter bunny back in 1997, another person named Diane did it back in 2007, I also want to send a shout out to Sharon Wells or Will, that who played the Easter bunny during 2004, along with Marisol, Rachel and one other woman that whose name escapes me at the moment, but that when I first saw her back in 2013 dressed up as the Easter bunny she called herself, "Miss Bunny". A shout out to all those lovely old and young woman who dressed up as Easter bunnies and also shout out to Brooklyn and Sandy, two women who dressed up as Easter bunnies just last year. so those are all my favorite people that who would probably go away if the mall disappeared. This would cause me to want to leave Citrus Heights. And at this point, I don't think I would be welcome anywhere else within the county of Sacramento. But I definitely will not live in Roseville, because o heir transportation system, that which scares me to death! thank you.'
