Comment: Whoever takes care of the alarm that goes off at Tractor Supply Co every night for hours has my vote for life. hey are flagrantly violating city law, wasting police time, and driving everyone in the neighborhood absolutely bonker lo one around here can get any sleep. I'm writing this comment at 3 in the morning, the alarm started going off at there have been at least two different people calling the cops to complain and three police visits tonight alone. How many times can you violate city ordinances and keep being granted a business license? Supporting Files (2 Max.):

Comment: I really think it's very wrong placing troubled men/inmate releases/drug alcohol addictions/sex offenders in a group home surrounded in a family residential and near schools. Already one man was out in the neighborhood after curfew..looking thru windows...this is scary...not sure how this happened having this in a family residential area & not notifying any of the homeowners in the neighborhood...this is NOT right...something bad is going to happen if you let them stay there...there eyeing children & families routines probably everyday...why can't they send them out in the boonies in some kind of facility...there is plenty of vacant buildings out there... so families can truly feel safe & not have to worry everyday...whatever happen to the saying KEEP OUR CHILDREN SAFE...please do your best & have this group home removed. Thank you so much...l'll be praying.

Comment: I am a mother of 6 children. We frequently take walks around Freedom Elementary and play at the nearby park. I recently learned of sex offenders being purposely placed in our community and I stand in protest to the half way house that was purposely established here.

Comment: Sexual offenders should not reside nearby schools within 200 yards. This is what happened now. Halfway house has sexual offenders nearby freedom schools. They stair school girls and knock residents doors at the middle night. Those people are disturbing quiet neighborhoods, we are all horrified. My mom and my next door lady like walk outside doors. They can do that any more. Those sexual offenders carry something like guns size in their pockets and walk around the neighborhood. We should not allow another victim happen. We need to take actions now. We need to let those people move to rural areas. I walk in Coalinga state hospital which locks down thousands sexual predators.
They all have very violent backgrounds. They do not and will not change their sexual violence to women and girls. Child 3022 sexual violence rooted in their brains, they are never going to change. Already a couple of people reported those offenders starred at girls and looked for their next targets. Please take actions now. Thanks a lot.

• Multiple catalytic converters have been recently stolen in our neighborhood. One was on Indianapolis and the
other was on Ashcroft which is the neighboring street.
Date: March 19, 2023 Both are near Gettysburg and Locan. It is not clear if these thefts are related to the newly established halfway Time: 6:44 pm house.
Remote IP: 166.216.158.188 Lastly, we have confirmed that the owner of the halfway house is a wealthy individual who lives in a multi-million dollar home in Madera, far away from any crime
associated with the halfway house. He is making an
estimated $40k per year per individual who lives in that home.
We have also been informed that another halfway house
has been established nearby on Holland Ave. It is not
confirmed if this is the same owner.

Comment: I am not too clear on the correct agenda number for this comment, but it is regarding the halfway house on Holland Ave. This home is way too close to schools and is housing sex offenders, this should not be permitted where children are walking by or anywhere near a school. It also should not be affecting any of the surrounding neighborhood or neighbors and it does and has police reports to show it. It is also very disturbing that no one was notified of this home with sex offenders. The schools were not even notified.

Comment: I am speaking against allowing the continuation of a halfway house on 3096 Indianapolis Ave. Clovis, CA. which is located next to a paseo that runs along Kaweah Ave. Numerous children use that path to walk to school or walk home. There have also been numerous complaints from residents of that area concerning that address which is only a few blocks away from me.

Comment: Ref: Raising chickens within the city limits: Based on the discussion in Nextdoor, there are both proponents and opponents to this proposal. It should be a ballot measure in the next election, but if the City Council wishes to make a decision in this matter, the following are my sideboards. 1. Chickens are to be for personal use only 2. There will be zero cost to the City 3. A sunset clause will be included for an evaluation period to assess sideboard # 2 4. Adherence to all applicable Federal and State laws.

Comment: In regards to allowing chickens in the city limits, I would suggest the city consider allowing it, with stipulations of course. Times are tough and if a person could have a few free eggs each week, it could go a long way to helping folks out. Perhaps no more than 2-3 chickens per 1/4 acre lot, certainly no Roosters. The bulk of people that would even attempt this would probably quit after a few months, so it would be a minimal affect on the surrounding neighbors anyway.

Comment: Please allow chickens in the city limits of Clovis for families to have them in their backyards. They make fantastic pets and it helps people to have the eggs they produce. They truly are a blessing. People with cats and dogs need to pick up after them and responsible people can do the same with chickens. They also contribute to mental outlooks. They are so delightful. Please consider
putting this item on the agenda for your next meeting. The people of Clovis would be very grateful. We live in a very caring community and this would make it even better.

Comment: Concerning allowing chickens in residential areas - are hens and roosters allowed. Roosters are much louder than hens. That should be a consideration.
Also, limit the number to 2-4 hens. Chickens stink to high heaven. Neighbors should not have to live with that. 2-4 eggs per day is plenty for most families. Selling eggs should not be allowed as the number would be much greater creating more smell and noise.

Vietnam War Veterans Day Event
Hosted by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 933
The Vietnam Veterans of American Chapter 933 and the Clovis Veterans Memorial District are honored to host the Vietnam War Veterans Day event on Wednesday, March 29*h from 9am to 1pm. The Wednesday morning celebration includes a car gathering on 4* Street, a patriotic concert by the AUSA Sounds of Freedom Band, a photo exhibit inside the Rex Phebus Memorial Building, and more.
Over 9 million Americans served from November 1, 1955, and May 15, 1975.
Vietnam represents the largest number of Veterans Clovis contributed to our nation's armed conflicts. Over 2,000 of them still reside in Clovis. 58,286 Gold Star Heroes lost their lives in Vietnam; seven of them hail from Clovis.
The purpose of the event is to honor families with a relative on the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington DC, widowed spouses of Vietnam War-era veterans, and veterans who served at any time from November 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975, regardless of the location of service. Our Nation loses nearly 600 Vietnam Veterans every day, many residing in care facilities. Help us honor these brave men and women who served and sacrificed before our opportunity vanishes.
The surviving families of LCPL William Gordon Camp, SP4 Larry Gay Poole, and 1st Lieutenant Kenji Jerry Yamashita will receive the In Memory of Pin for immediate family members only, plus a certificate from a grateful nation for their ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War. The Deceased Vietnam Veteran's Surviving Spouse commemorative pin plus a certificate will be presented to any surviving spouse at the time of death of a Vietnam War-era veteran. Any veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces from November 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975, will be presented with the Vietnam Veteran commemorative pin.
Join us for the 6th Anniversary of National Vietnam Veterans Day as Americans unite to thank and honor Vietnam Veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice.
