CALL TO ORDER:
The Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Coachella was called to order at 5:34 p.m. by Mayor Pro Tem Galarza.

Absent: Mayor Hernandez.

Adopt Resolution No. 2023-19 Stating the Intention to Annex Property into City of Coachella Community Facilities District No. 2005-1 (Law Enforcement, Fire and Paramedic Services) and Authorize the Levy of a Special Tax Within Annexation Area No. 35 (Tripoli Apartments).

PUBLIC COMMENTS (NON-AGENDA ITEMS):
Ruby Barajas invited Councilmembers to the 1s' Annual Riverside Latino Commission Mental Health Awareness Walk on May 6, 2023.
CSUSB students Lindsey Corado, Maira Fuentes, and Maurelys Aras discussed their new Community Advocacy Project supporting homeless people in Mecca.

REPORTS AND REQUESTS:
Council Comments/Report of Miscellaneous Committees.
Councilmember Delgado addressed the CUSB students in the audience promoting the Community Advocacy Project in Mecca. She offered her support to write a letter to the local Food Bank and for other supplies needed.
Councilmember Figueroa attended the grand opening of the newest Cannabis Club and wanted to remind everyone of the grand opening of "Chick Next Door" restaurant on Dillion Road.
Councilmember Virgen shared that she attended the Mobius Conference. She enjoyed seeing all the students out there and commented on the interesting guest speakers. Also, she was excited to share that the CVAG Committee selected her to present on SCAG's Energy and Environmental Resources Committee.
Mayor Pro Tem Galarza said he was looking forward to the many upcoming events such as the Coachella Valley Business and Economic Forecast Summit in addition to Farmchella being held on April 20, 2023.

There being no further business to come before the City Council and the Agencies, Mayor Pro Tem Galarza adjourned the meeting at 5:35 p.m.
