PUBLIC HEARING CALENDAR (QUASI-JUDICIAL):
2. City of Coachella 6th Cycle Housing Element proposed amendments to Sections 17.16.020, 17.18.020, 17.18.030,
17.24.020 and 17.24.030 of the Coachella Municipal Code regarding affordable housing developments to bring the city’s 6th Cycle Housing Element into compliance with state law. City-Initiated.
Kendra Reif, Community Development Director, gave a brief presentation for the item. A copy of the presentation is on file in the Planning Division.

IT WAS MOVED BY CHAIRPERSON MURILLO AND SECOND BY COMMISSIONER LARA TO APPROVE RESOLUTION PC 2025-13 RECOMMENDING APPROVAL TO THE CITY OF COACHELLA CITY COUNCIL.
Approved by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Chairperson Murillo, Vice Chairperson Fonseca, Commissioner Lara.
NOES: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
ABSENT: Alternate Commissioner Caballero.

Planning Commission Secretary Updates:
• Staff will be sharing the link to the Youth Advisory Commission applications. Applications are now open and will be closing in August for High School students living in Coachella. • Mention of the Fourth of July event in the City of Coachella.
