Notice is hereby given that the City Council will hold a Special Meeting, on May 18, 2023, in the City Council Chambers located at 155 West Durian, Coalinga, CA. Persons with disabilities who may need assistance should contact the City Clerk at least 24 hours prior to this meeting at 935-1533 x113. The Special Meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the agenda will be as follows:

This section of the agenda allows members of the public to address the City Council on any item within the jurisdiction of the Council. Members of the public, when recognized by the Mayor, should come forward to the lectern, identify themselves and use the microphone. Comments are normally limited to three (3) minutes. In accordance with State Open Meeting Laws, no action will be taken by the City Council this evening and all items will be referred to staff for follow up and a report.
Citizen Comments submitted in writing to the City Clerk by 5:00pm on the day of the City Council meeting shall be distributed to the City Council and included in the record, however they will not be read.

Senior Administrative Analyst (Risk Management) and City Manager recommend authorization for the City Manager to execute a contract with Expert Painting and Coatings to install finished polished concrete in the City Hall lobby area.

City Hall was originally constructed in 1994 and the tile flooring in the lobby is aging and in need of replacement. Expert Painting and Coatings would remove the tile and replace it with finished polished concrete.
IV. ALTERNATIVES:
Do not authorize the maintenance project - staff does not recommend.
V. FISCAL IMPACT:
The totalcost of this project is $23,135 and funding will be from budget line item Building Repairs and Maintenance 101-432-84030 which has approximately $17,000 available, however, there are unspent funds in Grounds Repairs and Maintenance 101-432-84050 and Major Equipment Repairs and Maintenance 101-432- 84020 to offset the difference without exceeding the overall budget for 101-432.

1. The existing tile will be removed to be replaced by polished concrete. Remove all material and disposal.

Preparation:
1. The areas will be mechanically grinded to remove all surface contaminants, oil, grease, dirt and dust so that the polishing steps will bring out the natural characteristics of the existing concrete surface.
Lobby Area- No. 800 finish Polished Concrete, Wall Base, Logo:
(Top of the line Mechanical grinding of flooring area to a No. 800 shine Polish)
1. Approx. 1,220 SqFt. Area will be prepared and concrete will be polished to 800 grit, No color Stain, installation of rubber wall base, color: to be determined by client.
Price: $19,000.00
2. City of Coalinga logo to be installed in the lobby.
Price: $700.00
Total Price: $23,135.00
Please Note: Price based on 1 move in. The above pricing is based on prevailing wage rates, Monday through Friday installation. Weekends and nights will be 15% above the noted pricing. Payment due net 10 after completion of the project. Pricing valid for 30 days from the above noted date. Purchase order and payments can be made out to Expert Painting and Coatings.
