RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE APPROVING A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE EXISTING TOWING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MR. C’S TOWING of SOUTH GATE, INC. EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE AGREEMENT FOR FOUR YEARS WHEREAS, the City utilized towing services to enforce the Commerce Municipal Code, abandoned vehicles, and illegal parking violations, and the City desires to amend the existing towing services agreement with Mr. C’s Towing of South Gate, Inc. extending the term of the agreement for four years; and WHEREAS, Mr. C’s is a locally based company with strong and positive references, and has extensive experience providing excellent towing services within Los Angeles County, and would continue providing satisfactory towing services to the City of Commerce; and WHEREAS, City staff believes that it is in the best interest of the City to approve a first amendment to the existing towing services agreement with Mr. C’s of South Gate inc. 4421 Mason Street, South Gate, CA 90280, extending the term of the existing towing servies agreement for four years, with the performance review at the end of every operating year.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Commerce hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. Approve a First Amendment to the existing towing services agreement with Mr. C’s Towing of South Gate Inc. extending the term of the existing agreement for four years.
Section 3. The Mayor is authorized to execute the First Amendment for and on behalf of the City.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take full force and effect immediately upon adoption by the City Council.
