RESOLUTION NO. 22-__
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVING SPEED HUMP INSTALLATION ON FITZGERALD AVENUE BETWEEN STEVENS PLACE AND EVERINGTON STREET WHEREAS, staff has completed a traffic review due to speeding concerns along the corridor of Fitzgerald Avenue between Stevens Place and Everington Street; and WHEREAS, the corridor of Fitzgerald Avenue between Stevens Place and Everington Street meets the criteria for installation of speed humps; and, WHEREAS, based on the Traffic Study and Field observation speed cushions are recommended on Fitzgerald Avenue between Stevens Place and Everington Street with pavement legends and signage and, WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the Speed Hump installation project is $30,000 which will be paid from Measure AA funds for the 201/22 Pavement Project Account Number 41-5170-57010.14614; and WHERAS, this project will be completed as part of the 2021/22 Pavement Rehabilitation.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. City Council approves the installation of Speed Humps, pavement legends, and signage along the corridor of Fitzgerald Avenue between Stevens Place and Everington Street and further authorizes said work to be completed as part of the 21/22 Pavement Rehabilitation project.
Section 2. Authorize the Mayor to execute this Resolution for and on behalf of the City of Commerce.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take full force and effect immediately upon adoption by the City Council.
