RESOLUTION NO. 22-__
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH VANLEN CONSULTANTS FOR SURVEYING SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES BY TRANSTECH ENGINEERS WHEREAS, the City is embarking on major developments along Telegraph Rd. As a result, the City intends to complete a Circulation Analysis and subsequent preliminary engineering assessment of the roadways and their alignments.
WHEREAS, the goal of the project is to assess the current circulation patterns and recommend improvements that enhance the circulation in and around the Telegraph Rd. between Washington Blvd. and west of Travers Ave including Tubeway.
WHEREAS, staff recently requested and received a proposal from VanLen Consultants for professional surveying services.
WHEREAS, the proposal was reviewed and approved for tasks 1 and 2 administratively for $20,720 on April 27, 2022.
WHEREAS, based on the City’s Policies and Procedures ratification of City’s administrative approval by City Council is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Commerce hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. A professional Service Agreement with VanLen Consultants to provide Surveying services in the amount of $20,720 attached herein as Exhibit “A” is hereby approved and furthermore.
Section 3. Transtech Engineers, Inc.is authorized to proceed with Project Management and Coordination Services, pursuant to their existing on-call agreement for consultant services.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take full force and immediately upon adoption by the City Council.
