A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING REVISIONS TO THE PERSONNEL CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN BY AMENDING JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE TRANSPORTATION SERVICE WORKER, COVER BUS OPERATOR AND FLEET MECHANIC.
WHEREAS, On August 17, 2021, the City Council approved the Citywide Classification Plan and Job Specifications, including the Transit Equipment Service Worker, which was retitled from a Transportation Service Worker, Fleet Mechanic and Senior Bus Operator, which was retitled from a Cover Bus Operator; and WHEREAS, On September 21, 2021, The City Council approved actions related to the Transportation Department as it relates to operational and staffing needs. Additionally, new transportation classifications were created and approved; and WHEREAS, These job specifications will be used for both the part time and full time job specifications and the recruitment for these classifications effective immediately, if approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Commerce hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. The City of Commerce hereby approves amending the Transportation Service Worker classification job specification and retitle to Transit Equipment Service Worker, attached hereto, incorporated herein by this reference, is hereby approved.
Section 3. The City of Commerce hereby approves amending the Fleet Mechanic classification job specification, attached hereto, incorporated herein by this reference, is hereby approved.
Section 4. The City of Commerce hereby approves amending the Cover Bus Operator classification job specification and retitle to Senior Bus Operator, attached hereto, incorporated herein by this reference, is hereby approved.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take full force and effect immediately upon adoption by the City Council. . PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of June 2022.
