TO: Honorable City Council
FROM: City Manager
SUBJECT: A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Commerce, California, Approving the First Amendment to TransTrack Systems, Inc. Updated Maintenance and Support Agreement MEETING DATE: June 28, 2022
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council will consider approving the First Amendment to TransTrack Systems, Inc. updated maintenance and support agreement BACKGROUND:
On December 6, 2011, City Council approved the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) to purchase transit data management software. The software is designed to assist the Transportation Department in submitting operating and financial data to the Department of Transportation’s National Transit Database (NTD) program.
On April 3, 2012, City Council approved the purchase of a business intelligence software system from TransTrack Systems, Inc. TransTrack’s transit performance management software is used by many transit agencies to consolidate operating and financial data for NTD purposes. Additionally, it produces reports that allow transit staff to manage the City’s public transportation system more effectively. On July 6, 2021, City Council approved the updated maintenance, software specifications and support agreement with TransTrack Systems, Inc.
ANALYSIS:
The First Amendment to the updated maintenance and support agreement will extend the existing contract to June 2023 and allow TransTrack to continue providing the City maintenance and support services related to the transit business intelligent software system.
