RESOLUTION NO. 22-__
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE BLUE CURB POLICY UPDATE WHEREAS, the current Blue Curb Parking Policy was approved by the Traffic Commission on January 13, 2021 and approved by City Council on February 2, 2021; and WHEREAS, updating the current Blue Curb Parking Policy will facilitate the process in which the blue curb requests are reviewed and include a transfer process for existing Blue Curbs.; and WHEREAS, the proposed Policy Update attached herein as Exhibit A establishes the process and criteria by which the installation of on-street disabled persons parking spaces (blue curb) may be recommended to the Traffic Commission and to identify the conditions in which they may be installed on public streets at the discretion of the Traffic Commission and/or the Director of Public Works.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Commerce hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. The Blue Curb Policy Update attached herein as Exhibit A is hereby approved.
Section 3. Authorize the Mayor to execute the Resolution for and on behalf of the City of Commerce.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take full force and effect immediately upon adoption by the City Council.
