RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE ON-CALL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENTS FOR BUILDING AND TI PLAN CHECK, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE, PARK PLANNING AND DESIGN, PLANNING SERVICES, ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE, PLANNING, ANALYSIS & ASSESSMENT, AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE, GENERAL CIVIL ENGINEERING, TRAFFIC ENGINEERING, REAL ESTATE AND RIGHT OF WAY, CIVIL PLAN CHECK, CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT & INSPECTION, SURVEYING, STAFF AUGMENTATION, AND BUILDING AND SAFETY AND ADDING ONE ON-CALL CONSULTANT FOR GENERAL CIVIL ENGINEERING WHEREAS, over the years the City of Commerce has developed a list of on-call consultants’ services; and WHEREAS, the on-call consultants provide staff with the ability to draw on a list of pre-qualified consultants, with pre-negotiated base rates, and pre-approved agreements to perform needed studies, design, and environmental review to name a few; and WHEREAS, the City Council approved the on-call professional services agreements for various categories over the past several years; and WHEREAS, the City Council approved Amendment No. 1 to the on-call professional services agreements for various categories on October 19, 2021, with an expiration date of February 1, 2023; and WHEREAS, staff recommends City Council amend the term of the Professional Services Agreement with the On-Call Consultants attached herein as Exhibit A in various Categories through February 1, 2024, with an automatic renewal month-to-month until terminated by either party.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Commerce hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. The Amendments to Professional Services Agreements with On-Call Consultants in various categories extended through February 1, 2024, with an automatic renewal month-to-month until terminated by either party, attached herein as Exhibit A, are hereby approved.
Section 3. The Mayor is authorized to execute the Amendments to Agreements (Exhibit A) for and on behalf of the City of Commerce. The Mayor is also authorized to execute the Resolution for and on behalf of the City of Commerce.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take full force and effect immediately upon adoption by the City Council.
