RECOMMENDATION:

The City Council will consider adopting a Resolution awarding a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) to Elie Farah, Inc. for the preparation of Plans, Specifications, and Engineer’s Estimate for the Sidewalk Improvements on Ferguson Drive and Various Cul-de-sacs from Gerhart Avenue to Concourse Avenue Project and authorizing Project Management Services by Transtech Engineers, Inc. pursuant to their on-call Professional Services Agreement.

The work includes outreach to all affected residents within the project area. Two (2) firms submitted proposals, Elie Farah, Inc. and CWE. The proposals were evaluated based on an established criteria including compliance with RFP requirements, proposal quality, project understanding, approach, methodology and responsiveness, flexibility, experience, and schedule. Both firms submitted great proposals. However, Elie Farah, Inc. received the highest ranking.

Staff recommends adoption of the attached Resolution which in summary does the following:

Approves a professional service agreement with Elie Farah, Inc., in the amount of $64,830 and authorizes City Manager to execute any amendments to the agreement with Elie Farah, Inc. should it become necessary.
