RESOLUTION NO. 23-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING A SERVICE AGREEMENT FOR AUDIT SERVICES TO THE PUN GROUP LLP AND OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO WHEREAS, on February 14, 2023, the City Council approved the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for City auditing services; and WHEREAS, on April 3, 2023, the City issued the RFP; and
WHEREAS, on April 20, 2023, the City received three (3) proposals in response to the RFP; and WHEREAS, during the week of May 1, 2023, the City staff interviewed the highest rated firm that responded to the RFP; and WHEREAS, after careful consideration, evaluation of proposals and reference checks, City staff is recommending that the proposal by the Pun Group LLC be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE DOES HEREBY RESOLVES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Commerce hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2. The Agreement between the City of Commerce and The Pun Group LLP for auditing services is hereby approved. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City. The Mayor is also authorized to execute the Resolution for and on behalf of the City of Commerce.
SECTION 3. Authorize staff to incorporate the amount of $47,730 to cover the costs of the first year of the agreement as part the FY 2023/24 City of Commerce Adopted Budget.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take full force and effect immediately upon adoption by the City Council.
