RESOLUTION NO. _____
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE, CALIFORNIA APPROVING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023/2024 WHEREAS, annually, staff presents City Council with a proposed CIP for consideration and prioritization, which includes an opportunity for all departments to submit their requests to the Public Works Department; and WHEREAS, the CIP list for FY 2023-2024 represents potential projects with ranking recommendations with projects having additional funding sources higher in priority order for Council consideration and to determine the final priority order and which projects to fund through Measure AA; and WHEREAS, on June 20, 2023, staff presented this information to the Measure AA Committee and they expressed their support of the City investing in its infrastructure for roads and facilities to meet the needs of the community and make the City attractive to new businesses and recommend that the City Council approve staff’s recommended CIP Program for FY 2023/2024 as attached with Measure AA Funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Commerce hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. Approve the Capital Improvement Program for FY 2023/2024 and allocate $9,567,703 in Measure AA Funds for all projects listed as recommended.
Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute this Resolution for and on behalf of the City of Commerce.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take full force and effect immediately upon adoption by the City Council.
