RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE, CALIFORNIA APPROVING REVISIONS TO THE PERSONNEL CLASSIFICATION BY AMENDING THE CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER II, TRAVEL COACH AND PUBLIC SAFETY MANAGER JOB CLASSIFICATIONS WHEREAS, the Human Resources Department periodically reviews classification specifications and recommends changes to the City’s Personnel Classification; and WHEREAS, after an analysis and review of the current responsibilities of the Code Enforcement Officer II, Travel Coach and Public Safety Manager classifications, it was identified by Human Resources and Administration that the job specification should be revised; and WHEREAS, the distinguishing characteristics is recommended to be amended as indicated in the attached job specification in order to better retain and recruit employees; and WHEREAS, the revised job description for the position encompasses a full scope of responsibilities, duties and requirements of the position and is attached for review and approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Commerce hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. The City of Commerce hereby approves amending the Code Enforcement Officer II, Travel Coach and Public Safety Manager Classifications.
Section 3. The Job Specifications attached hereto as Exhibit “A” are hereby approved.
Section 4. Authorize the Mayor to execute the Resolution for and on behalf of the City of Commerce.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take full force and effect immediately upon adoption by the City Council.
