SUBJECT: Special Holiday Schedules for City Hall and other Facilities MEETING DATE: October 10, 2023
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff is recommending that City Council receive and file the holiday schedule for 2023-2024.
BACKGROUND:
The City Council is asked to receive and file a report related to the holiday season closure. This action is consistent with past practice and the approved terms in the memorandum of understanding between the City and the Commerce City Employees’ Association. This year the City Hall and Library Closure will take place from December 24, 2023 through January 7, 2024.
The holiday schedule for the Transportation Department is as follows; the administration office and dispatch will be closed to the public on December 25, 2023 and January 1, 2024. There will be no service on December 25, 2023 and January 1, 2024. On December 24, 2023 and December 31, 2023 Transportation will operate on a modified schedule, with all routes ending at 5:00 pm.
Additionally, all City sites, including City Hall, will be open to the public on Lincoln’s Birthday which is February 12, 2024, as defined in the MOU.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact. Receive and File.

Approve staff recommendation.
Reject staff recommendation.
Provide staff with further direction.
