RESOLUTION NO. 24-__
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE LAKE ARROWHEAD CAMP COMMERCE REPLACEMENT OF DAMAGED RETAINING WALL PROJECT AS COMPLETE, AUTHORIZING STAFF TO FILE THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION WITH THE COUNTY RECORDER’S OFFICE, AND AUTHORIZING RELEASE OF 5% RETENTION PER CONTRACT WHEREAS, on June 28, 2022, the City Council approved the plans and specifications for the Lake Arrowhead Camp Commerce Replacement of Damaged Retaining Wall Project and authorized staff to proceed with the bid solicitation; and WHEREAS, on July 13, 2022, staff advertised the bid package for the Project and on August 23, 2022, City Council awarded the construction contract to SDC Engineering, Inc; and WHEREAS, the Lake Arrowhead Camp Commerce Replacement of Damaged Retaining Wall Project (Project) commenced on August 28, 2023, and was completed on November 27, 2023 and the Project is ready for acceptance; and WHEREAS, the total cost of the project including design, SBC permit, plan checking and inspection fees, Geotechnical services and material testing, construction contract, construction management and inspection services is $222,591.24 of which $178,000 was covered from reimbursable Los Angeles County Prop 68 grant funds and the remaining was budgeted from Measure AA funds in account #41-5180-57010.14133.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Commerce hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. The City Council accepts the Lake Arrowhead Camp Commerce Replacement of Damaged Retaining Wall Project performed by SDC Engineering, Inc. as complete.
Section 3. Staff is authorized to file the “Notice of Completion” with the County Recorder’s Office for this project and to release the 5% contract retention per contract provisions.
Section 4. The Mayor is Authorized to execute this Resolution for and on behalf of the City of Commerce.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take full force and effect immediately upon adoption by the City Council.
