RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE DIRECTING STAFF TO RE-NAME A PROTION of Tuebway street between Smithway Street to the North and Telegraph Road to the South as ______ WHEREAS, City Council would like to honor Haig Papaian for his hard work, community involvement, and efforts by dedicating the naming of a street in his honor; and WHEREAS, Haig is a valued member of the Commerce community, serving its residents and businesses with honor and distinction; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Commerce hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. Direct Staff to rename a portion of Tubeway Avenue as a potential street to be renamed _________________. The section of Tubeway Avenue considered for renaming is located between Smithway Street to the north and Telegraph Road to the south.
Section 3. Authorize the Mayor to execute this Resolution for and on behalf of the City of Commerce.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take full force and effect immediately upon adoption by the City Council.
