TO: Honorable City Council
FROM: City Manager
SUBJECT: A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Commerce, California, Approving the Third Amendment to TransTrack Systems, Inc. Updated Maintenance and Support Agreement MEETING DATE: August 13, 2024
RECOMMENDATION:

The City Council will consider approving the Third Amendment to TransTrack Systems, Inc.'s updated maintenance and support Agreement.

BACKGROUND:

On December 6, 2011, City Council approved issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to purchase transit data management software. The software is designed to assist the Transportation Department in submitting operating and financial data to the Department of Transportation’s National Transit Database (NTD) program.

On April 3, 2012, City Council approved purchasing a business intelligence software system from TransTrack Systems, Inc. TransTrack’s transit performance management software is used by many transit agencies to consolidate operating and financial data for NTD purposes. Additionally, it produces reports that allow transit staff to manage the City’s public transportation system more effectively.

On July 6, 2021, City Council approved the updated maintenance, software specifications, and support Agreement with TransTrack Systems, Inc.

The First Amendment was approved on June 28, 2022, and extended the Agreement to June 2023.

The Second Amendment was approved on June 27, 2023, and extended the Agreement to June 2024.

ANALYSIS:

The Third Amendment to the updated maintenance and support agreement will extend to June 2025, allowing TransTrack to continue providing the City maintenance and support services related to the transit business intelligent software system.
