RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE, CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF TWO EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT POSITIONS FOR 1) DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & CITY TREASURER AND 2) DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND PLANNING WHEREAS, Commerce Municipal Code Section 2.04.080 provides that the City Council may appoint and discharge executive-level City employees following the receipt and consideration of the recommendation of the City Manager; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has provided his recommendations to the City Council for the appointment of the Director of Finance and City Treasurer and Director of Economic Development and Planning positions; and WHEREAS, the City Manager requests that the City Council consider his recommendations to fill these executive-level positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Commerce hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. The City Council approves the City Manager’s recommendations to fill the Director of Finance & City Treasurer and Director of Economic Development and Planning.
Section 3. The Mayor is authorized to execute this Resolution for and on behalf of the City of Commerce.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take full force and effect immediately upon adoption by the City Council.
