RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A THREE-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH GRANICUS, INC., WITH AN OPTION TO EXTEND FOR TWO ADDITIONAL YEARS, FOR THE CONTINUED IMPLEMENTATION OF TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS FOR AGENDA AUTOMATION WHEREAS, in early 2012, the City of Commerce began exploring ways to streamline its document management and legislative processes to increase efficiency, reduce paper usage, and enhance transparency and accessibility for the community; and WHEREAS, Granicus, Inc. is a trusted and experienced provider of government transparency, citizen engagement, meeting efficiency, and legislative management solutions; and WHEREAS, the services provided by Granicus have supported the City in modernizing its agenda management and public record systems, while improving staff productivity and reducing operational costs; and WHEREAS, staff recommends approving a new agreement with Granicus, Inc. for a three-year term, with the option to extend for up to two additional years, to continue leveraging these services for the benefit of the City and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Commerce hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. The City Council hereby approves the Services Agreement between the City of Commerce and Granicus, Inc. for an initial term of three (3) years, with an option to extend the agreement for up to two (2) additional years for a not to exceed amount of $218,327.
Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement, this Resolution and any related documents, on behalf of the City of Commerce.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take full force and effect immediately upon adoption by the City Council.
