SUBJECT: Regular Meeting Cancellation – July 22, 2025 Meeting Date: July 8, 2025
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council will consider cancelling the regular City Council meeting of July 22, 2025, due to City Council participating in Naleo Conference.
BACKGROUND/ANALYSIS:
Due to the majority of City Councilmembers planning to attend the NALEO Conference scheduled from July 22 to July 24, 2025, there will not be a quorum for the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on July 22, 2025. As four out of five Councilmembers are expected to be in attendance at the conference, it would be reasonable to consider cancelling the meeting.
Cancelling the July 22 meeting will not hinder the City Council’s ability to address any urgent or time-sensitive matters. Should the need arise, a special meeting can be called in accordance with the Brown Act to conduct any necessary business.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This activity can be carried out without additional impact on the current operating budget.
