Mayor Altamirano called meeting to order at 1:05 p.m.

PUBLIC COMMENT
There were no individuals wishing to address the city Council on any items within their jurisdiction.
ORDINANCES
1. Urgency Interim Ordinance -Temporary Moratorium on Home-Sharing and Vacation Rentals
Director of Community Development Serrano provided an overview of the staff report. Discussion followed regarding the effective date of the ordinance, should it pass, and when Code Enforcement could begin enforcement. According to City Attorney Tapia, the ordinance would take effect immediately upon adoption and remain in effect for 45 days. City staff will return with a follow-up report outlining actions taken and whether an extension is warranted. If needed, the ordinance may be extended a second time for an additional 45 days, and a third time for up to one year for this moratorium.
Councilmember Rebollo moved, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Lainez, to introduce and adopt an Ordinance establishing a citywide 45-day moratorium on home-sharing and vacation rental uses. The motion was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Mayor Altamirano, Mayor Pro Tem Lainez, Councilmember Argumedo, Councilmember Garcia, and Councilmember Rebollo
