COMMERCE CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION NO._________
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the City of Commerce seeks to ensure the prudent investment of public funds in accordance with its adopted Investment Policy; and WHEREAS, professional investment advisory services provide specialized expertise, oversight, and risk management to safeguard public funds; and WHEREAS, the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for investment advisory services and evaluated the responses received; and WHEREAS, based on staff’s analysis, Meeder Public Funds, Inc. was determined to provide the most valuable services to the City, offering active portfolio management and long-term financial benefits; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it in the best interest of the City to approve an agreement with Meeder Public Funds Inc. for investment advisory services.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COMMERCE DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Commerce hereby finds and declares that the foregoing recitals are true and correct, and incorporates them herein as findings and as a substantive part of this Resolution.
Section 2. The City Council hereby approves an agreement with Meeder Public Funds, Inc. for investment advisory services.
Section 3. The City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute said agreement, in a form approved by the City Attorney, on behalf of the City, and further authorizes the City Manager or designee to take all actions necessary to carry out the intent of this Resolution for and on behalf of the City of Commerce.
Section 4. The Mayor is authorized to execute this Resolution for and on behalf of the City of Commerce.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
Section 6. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 26th day of August, 2025. _______________________________
